App

Installs are only counted when the browser reports them (Android, desktop). Adding to the iPhone home screen can't be detected, but those opens still show up under “Opened as app” (people per day).

Past 30 days

What “unique” means: each day, a device counts once, no matter how many pages it opens or how often it refreshes. It's recognised by a one-way hash of its IP address and browser together with a random code that changes every day; the hash is deleted at midnight (UTC), so nobody can be tracked across days. The 30-day number adds up the days, so someone who visits on 3 different days counts 3 times, and two browsers or a new network count as separate visitors. Visitors who block the counter (some ad blockers) aren't counted. The “unique views” under each update post work the same way, but per post: a device counts once per post per day, added up since the counter started.
